- Follow simple instructions eg "where are your shoes?"
- Name simple body parts
- Listen to a simple story
- Speak in short sentences eg "me drink" "daddy car"
By three years of age, children should be:
- Readily understood by other adults
- Forming longer sentences
- Understanding longer instructions and stories
